SAY Team Formation

Players will spend two (2) years in each division (2 years in Passers, 2 years in Wings, etc.).  Swarmers is an exception to this.  Swarmers is a single year and is coed - designed to help players transition from instructional into SAY.

Players in their 2nd year in a division are considered returning players and will return to their same team if their coach returns. Assignment of new players and those who have moved up from a lower age division shall be by blind draw. The following players, who would otherwise be subject to the draw, may be exempt from the draw:

(1) The child or children of the head coach of the team.
(2) The child or children of one (1) assistant coach of the team

Siblings will be placed on the same team, unless requested to be split up. No requests for friends playing together, carpooling, certain practice nights, etc. will be considered. As far as practice nights, the day, time and location are determined by the head coach after the player draw.

Instructional (Lollipop) Team Formation

The WOAC Instructional (Lollipop) Program does not keep score/standings or stress winning, therefore SAY player draw rules do not apply. The instructional program is internal to WOAC and WOAC teams play WOAC teams only. Requests for friends playing together, carpooling, certain practice nights, etc. can be considered, but there are no guarantees. As with the SAY program, practice days, times and locations are determined by the head coach after the player draw.
